A partial revision of the “Ordinance Concerning Terminal Facilities Etc.” came into force on April 1, 2020 based on the “Ministerial Ordinance for Partial Revision of Ordinance Concerning Terminal Facilities Etc. and Ordinance Concerning Chief Telecommunications Engineers” announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan to change IoT device security standards.
Due to this change, it is not possible to use functions via the client mode in plug-ins developed for “RICOH THETA Z1 51GB” sold by Ricoh in Japan (model with serial number starting from “YN35”). Developers who are creating plug-ins for “RICOH THETA Z1 51GB” should be aware of this fact.
