We would like to announce that RICOH THETA X has received the “iF Design Award 2023,” which is an internationally prestigious German award.
The iF International Forum Design, which is based in Hanover, Germany, is the longest established independent design organization in the world. Each year it selects the best designs and presents the “iF Design Award” to the winners.
Many companies enter the contest from all over the world, not just from Germany. There are 9 categories for entry, which are “Product Design,” “Packaging Design,” “Communication Design,” “Service Design,” “Architecture,” “Interior Architecture,” “Professional Concept,” “User Experience (UX),” and “User Interface (UI).”
This year RICOH THETA X received the award for the “Product Design” category from among over 11,000 applicants from 56 countries worldwide.

RICOH THETA X is an advanced model that was added to the spherical camera THETA series. While continuing to embody the design identity of the first-generation product, RICOH THETA X is the first in the series to be equipped with a touch panel monitor, support battery and SD card replacement, and achieve images with even higher resolution to respond to the growing demand of using 360-degree images and videos in business.
